American Issues Forum, Chicago Committee records, 1975-1976.

Correspondence, meeting minutes, reports, grant proposals, financial records, etc. of Stanley Katz, Chairman of the Chicago Committee of the American Issues Forum, a project formed to celebrate the bicentennial of the Declaration of Independence, under the auspices of the American Association for State and Local History, the American Revolution Bicentennial Administration, and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Also present reports and evaluations, pamphlets, correspondence, lists, and newspaper clippings from the Chicago Committee of the American Issues Forum concerning Chicago area community organizations whose celebrations of the bicentennial were partially funded by the Forum. Includes audio recordings of programs sponsored by the Chicago Committee of the American Issues Forum.
